Exit Ghost - Philip Roth

Nathan Zuckerman is back in town. I mean, he's back in the big city, New York. There he faces the present and the past and even takes a look at the future. Nathan, or Philip, or both, is now a "no longer". Basically he's no longer young, but just the same and in spite of his mind beginning to forget about telephone calls and things and places, he masters as usual the english language (a word I learnt: Valedictorian, first of the class, final speaker at the graduation ceremony). This is about old age, friendship, literature, the spell a young woman exerts over Zuckerman or how he reacts when a young man of his very same nature comes to him. A jewish american novel...
