This is considered one of the first English novels and the narrator is Moll Flanders herself. Written three hundred years ago, the way her fortunes and misfortunes are told is through profuse dialogues full of reasons and explanations. She makes herself forgiven except on one point: of her seven children, at least, who are said to have survived, she only meets one as an adult.
