Taylor the novelist, not the actress. Angelica Deverell is the main character and a parody of some successful writer of the Edwardian-era (Marie Corelli is mentioned). Very british setting and great writing with the enough subtle details to humanize the wild, unreasonable, selfish Angel and endear the reader to her.
