The Grifters - Jim Thompson

I saw the movie, years ago, and now I've read the novel and I've pictured John Cusack, Annette Bening and Anjelica Huston acting the text in my mind. A very movie-bound book I guess. Sure Elmore Leonard read this and other Thompson novels and took a good deal of notes.
