Everything That Rises Must Converge - Flannery O'Connor
The author's second and final collection of stories, published in 1965 just after her death. Save for the last one, which deals with an old man who longs for the south in New York, all the stories take place in Georgia, in the closed atmosphere of the south in the fifties. It somehow reminds me of Faulkner. Popular slang is masterfully represented.
