The character Cyrus Spitama tells his life to Democritus, his supposed nephew and philosopher in real life. We learn about the Persian Empire, the Greeks (filthy people), India and Cathay (nowadays China) and especially about religions and creation theories. All in a humorous friendly style. Buddha and Confucius are two more characters. Easy reading mostly.
