Aspects of the Novel - E. M. Forster

These are a series of lectures given at Cambridge in 1927. Forster had already published most of his own novels (not mentioned in the lectures). We learn about the main writers according to him: the Russians (you know), the French (Flaubert, Proust) and the English (a good bunch of them). Not that he is completely satisfied with any (perhaps with Tolstoi). Pleasant enough to read.
