First novel of a planned series of four. There's a friendship that began about twenty years ago between a young girl and her mature circumspect neighbour. This is an exercise on Britain after Brexit, a dystopia that's becoming today's meat and potatoes. Climate change is in the formula, and also there are two women from the sixties: pop artist Pauline Boty and model and showgirl Christine Keeler.
