Or life is a feast when you are young. Ernest, or Hem, or Tatie, was very poor and very happy then, or so he remembered in this book. Conscious writing here and referring mostly to his experiences with other americans met in Paris. It also deals with the end of his first marriage. This memoir was published posthumously.
