Leaving The Atocha Station - Ben Lerner

A fellowship in Madrid at the right (meaning wrong) moment in 2004. Not that the bombing is the central issue here. The flimsy plot is about the feelings and wanderings of an american student who smokes (spliffs included), writes poems, drinks and fools around with two spanish girls (or women indeed). He appears as a complete cynical (aren't we all somehow?). Pleasant to read.
