A Question of Upbringing - Anthony Powell

First of the series (A Dance to the Music of Time) where Jenkins, the narrator, tell us his impresions about life through a bunch of acquaintances. The times are the twenties of the past century and the places England and a bit of France. Jenkins is a young undergraduate who vaguely thinks about writing in the future. Written in a clear elegant style with  phrases full of sense and a subtle touch of irony.
