The Chilhood Of Jesus - J. M. Coetzee

No Jesus in the plot, to begin with. The child is named David (but it's said that name is not the original one). The people, the names, the land, the language (spanish is the official one in that Newfoundland), everything is allegoric and, as usual in these circumstances, I fail to grasp the meaning, the message. But not completely, I've certainly enjoyed the tale and have recognized some of our human worries in the text.
