Levels Of Life - Julian Barnes

Little book by great writer (maybe there's a greedy editor involved). We've got two parts, the first about ballooning in the nineteenth century and the second one about Julian's loss of depth after the death of his wife, Pat. Strangely enough both parts are beautifully connected by the author. Every book (that I know) written before by Barnes was dedicated to Pat., and  so happens in this one too. You bet this is a love story, a case of uxoriousness.
