The Songlines - Bruce Chatwin
Travel book, yes. Did you know there were about two hundred languages in Australia before the arrival of white men?. Aboriginals had their own way of passing through life and land. Singing along. The songlines are the routes that cross the continent and each one has got its own song, a way of not getting lost. Chatwin writes about his searching of these "dreamings" and his little adventures in the company of some wishful whites and the peculiar natives. A born storyteller.
