It Happened Tomorrow - René Clair (1944)
René Clair was french but during World War II made a bunch of films in Hollywood. Among them it is this, a romantic fantasy. Romantic for the love affair between Dick Powell (in his forties then) and Linda Darnell (in her twenties, the usual difference those years), and fantasy for the plot concerning the little man who produces next day newspaper with the hell of a mess consequences that fiddling with time carries usually along. The screenplay is great and the rythm terrific. Pop, the little man, was played (very well) by John Philliber. He passed away that same year.
