Hosseini lived only as a chid in Afghanistan; but in his soul still brights the sun, or one of a thousand suns, of Khabul. This novel tells us the lives of two women and by the way the history of the country in the last decades. Concerning Afghanistan there is one main issue we western people consider: It's so far away... But they live and love just the same. Sure that living there is tough, the land is dry and brown and our christian hell must be inspired in the taliban way of life concerning women; but there's beauty too, the natural of water, grass, snowed mountains and most of all that of the people. Khaled Hosseini shows a remarkable dominion of the english language.
