La novela más conocida de Bassani, que también fue película. El narrador es un alter ego, judío de Ferrara que hasta juega al tenis como el personaje. Se narran los años anteriores a la segunda guerra mundial, el final de una época. La gran paradoja es que el padre del narrador se apuntó al fascio en 1918. Bassani fue un fino estilista.

Almost nothing supernatural in this one. I've really enjoyed the first part, then the girl appears out of the blue. The tale is entertaining enough but there is always a slight setback there, that of making it not-so-bad to kill bad people. Guns in the US, that's a problem indeed.
