Este libro es un "dos en uno" referente a la figura de Rosario Weiss, artista y presunta hija de Goya, que murió con solo 28 años. Consta de una buena novela  sobre su vida, basada en hechos reales, y un ensayo complementario desde el punto de vista artístico.

An good novel written in English by a Turkish woman writer. Three different threads linked by the Tigris river, cuneiform writing, Gilgamesh and a drop of water. The last one seems dubious to me. It also includes some ancient history, feminism and a prayer for the Yazidis,

The author's childhood and early youth and also, or perhaps even primarily, the final years of Enver Hoxha's Albania and its transition to a European state like any other. The prose has the charmingly innocent flavor of this girl born into a talented family.

El túnel - Ernesto Sábato

Atrae la voz narradora de las primeras páginas. Luego se va obsesionando y queda claro que el protagonista, el pintor Castel, está mal de la cabeza o es un machista que se adelanta a su tiempo y comete un crimen execrable. No le veo la gracia.

A Spy by Nature - Charles Cumming

This novel is about how difficult it is to keep a secret. In truth, it is impossible, at least for Alec Milius. It reads well when it deals with the British secret service, but not so much when it focuses on the comings and goings of the spy in question.
